Why I Love To Cook With Kale!

Kale is one of my favorite veggies for so many reasons! It is being called one of the best foods on this planet for a reason!! It is loaded with so many great vitamins like vitamins A, B, C and K and high in minerals like magnesium, calcium and iron. Infact, it has more iron than beef! What I especially love is the fact that it is very high in fiber and in antioxidants! All fantastic nutrients in just one vegetable! It is therefore always one vegetable that i have in my shopping cart every week!
From a cooking standpoint, it is easy to clean and prepare and can be added to virtually any dish. I love it raw or cooked. If you are making a kale salad, i like to give it a “salt massage”. This simply means mixing it with salt and letting it sit for about half an hour before the salad dressing is added. This allows the leafs to become more tender. For soups and sauces, simply separate each stem and clean it under cold water. Then, chop it all up to your liking and add it to your favourite broth or soup. 
My favorite kale recipe is to bake them in the oven for 7-10 mins and season them with a little sea salt:) What a great alternative to regular fried potato chips!
In addition, Kale is excellent to add to any smoothie or shake. It’s flavour is mild and so it’s perfect when blended with virtually anything you desire. It therefore should be a vegetable on your MUST eat list! Not only will it add so many nutrients to your body, it wont break your bank account either! Kale is inexpensive which makes it an even bigger reason why i love it so much!
